Call to Worship (Psalm 52)

Seek refuge in God! Like green olive trees in the house of God, we dwell in the steadfast love of God forever and ever. Seek refuge in God! We put our trust in God, because of God’s mighty deeds. Seek refuge in God! In the presence of the faithful, we proclaim God’s holy name.

Opening Prayer (Psalm 52, Colossians 1)

We come to your house seeking your presence, O God. For in the mystery of our universe, you created all things in heaven and on earth and reconciled all things to you, by and in Jesus Christ. So we stand before you steadfast in the hope promised by our brother, Jesus.
Offertory
Lord, with a cheerful heart, I sow my seed.
Today, I planted it in good ground.
I believe my needs are met,
my family is blessed, and I’m expecting a supernatural harvests in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer:
From the demands and pressures of this past week, we come, O Lord, seeking rest and renewal. Hear the cries of our hearts, our prayers, our needs. Heal and restore us. For we ask this in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
John 11:17-27 New International Version Jesus Comforts the Sisters of Lazarus 17 On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. 18 Now Bethany was less than two miles[a] from Jerusalem, 19 and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother. 20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.
21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Benediction (Psalm 52)

We leave the house of God, but not the presence of God. Let us root ourselves deeply in God’s holy presence and live out God’s love for all. Trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
